The Story Girl Earns Her Name

When casting for the King family children in Road to Avonlea, Kevin Sullivan had them act out scenes together.  One of Sarah Polley’s key tests involved a scene right out of L.M. Montgomery’s novels, The Story Girl, which inspired some of the moments and characters in Sullivan’s series.
