'The Most Inspiring Woman' Essay Winners!
To choose one moving story over another equally impressive opinion piece on “the most inspiring woman” was a difficult task for the judges of our "End of Summer Essay Contest". But we have chosen two final winners, as well as two runners-up – and all four of their pieces are posted below.

We’d like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in our Prince Edward Island Trivia Contest, which was created in celebration of Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s recent visit to the Island.

In anticipation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s upcoming visit to Prince Edward Island – the home of Anne of Green Gables and the residents of Avonlea – Sullivan Entertainment is hosting a P.E.I. trivia challenge!
Gilbert Blythe Places First!
Though he was up against some stiff competition, it comes as no surprise that the winner of our Ultimate Classical Hero contest, Gilbert Blythe, is the soul mate of your favourite heroine, Anne Shirley! With a total of 1,381 total votes over the past four weeks - in comparison to the first runner-up, Mr. Darcy (who had a total of 855 votes) - Gilbert won by a considerable margin!
Matthew & Rhett Win Week 3!
The most shy and gentle hero of all, Matthew Cuthbert, placed first in last week’s round of our Ultimate Classical Hero Contest! He earned a total of 589 points, followed by the strikingly handsome, Rhett Butler. His famous stand against Scarlett O’Hara has the same impact on viewers, more than 70 years later. Week Two's Winning Heroes!
Last week’s results of the Ultimate Hero Contest are in and it seems that Jane Austen’s heroic creation, Mr. Darcy, has won by a landslide (607 votes), with Indiana Jones placing second at 241 total votes. All voting results can be found in the chart below. And now, we have a new list of ten men to choose from!

The first week of our Ultimate Classical Hero Contest is now complete and, not surprisingly to some, Gilbert Blythe is currently in first place, followed by everybody’s favourite “Pa”, Charles Ingalls! It was a tight race - Aragorn was narrowly squeezed out of the competition (see results below) – and we now have a new set of men for you to choose from.
Sarah's Splice Named Top Canadian Film
Writer, director and producer Sarah Polley has once again helped advance the recognition of Canadian film. The movie Splice, in which the Road to Avonlea actress starred with Oscar-winner Adrien Brody, was named 2010’s highest-grossing Canadian film.
Sullivan Sing-Along Winners!
Sullivan Entertainment would like to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to create and submit their special Mother’s Day videos to our Sullivan Sing-Along contest! It was really hard to choice our two winners (ages 18 and under, and 18 and over), as each person’s video was unique and heart felt.
New Rules for Sullivan Singing Contest!
We’d like to announce a few changes to our Sullivan Sing-Along Contest! Fans now have until Monday May 9th at 9 a.m. EST to submit their video tributes, in honour of Mother’s Day, to us. Also, a panel of judges from Sullivan Entertainment will be the ones to pick the winning submissions, instead of having a voting system open to the public.
