This month, Sullivan Entertainment wants to know which woman in history has inspired you the most!  All you have to do is write a short essay (between 250 and 500 words) about the female figure that has personally touched your life and you could win an amazing prize pack, filled with Shop At Sullivan’s extensive book collection.

Two winners will be selected: one for ages 18 and older, and one for ages 18 and under.  In addition, each entry submitted to us will be posted on one of the following websites (plus their official Facebook pages), and shared with all of our fans: AnneOfGreenGables.com, RoadToAvonlea.com and WindAtMyBack.com.  The contest begins today and will officially end on Wednesday Aug. 24th at 12 p.m. EST.  The two winners will be revealed on Aug. 25th.

The only rules are that your woman of choice must be a real person (no fictional characters, please) and they can still be living.  They also must have made some kind of historical impact.  Examples include anyone from Helen Keller to Rosa Parks to Virginia Woolf.  Please send your essays to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Only essays submitted to this email address will be considered.

A panel of judges will pick the two winning submissions based on the following criteria: the persuasiveness of your argument as to how they impacted your life, the creativity of your choice and the overall quality of your writing.

Here are the top prize packs!

Ages 18 and Older: The Journals of L.M. Montgomery, Volumes. 1 & 2, Beyond Green Gables, Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning (hardcover edition) and the Anne of Green Gables Audio Book.

Ages 18 and Under: Anne of Green Gables Audio Book, Anne Storybook, the first three novels in the Anne series (Sullivan editions) and the Anne 100th Anniversary Journal.
