Since the beginning of November 2010, SullivanMovies.com has provided a number of in-depth Q&A's with some of your favourite stars of Sullivan Productions.  One of the first performers we contacted, and who graciously agreed to an interview, was the great Canadian actress, Marilyn Lightstone, who starred as Miss Muriel Stacey in both the Anne of Green Gables series and Road to Avonlea.  She also starred in one of  Kevin Sullivan’s very first films, The Wild Pony, in 1983.

Anyone who now signs up to become a Sullivan Insider can access this interview with Marilyn.  To sign up and see a free preview of what Insiders will receive, click here.  And to see a full schedule of all the features that have been available to Insiders over the past few months, click here.

In the meantime, here is an excerpt from our article about Marilyn, in which the award-winning actress reveals what it was like working with Megan Follows (Anne Shirley), her favourite pieces of literature and how you can now hear her on the radio!

When Marilyn Lightstone was a little girl, she used to take a bunch of books out of the library all at once. Once particular Sunday, she remembers bringing home a copy of Anne of Green Gables. She was so engrossed in the novel that she spent the entire night reading. And the next morning she pretended she was sick so that she could stay home from school and continue following Anne.

“It was a good story with a wonderful character,” Lightstone recalls. “And I’m a sucker for a good story.”
