Take a look at a historical video about the Edwardian school system in Prince Edward Island.  This educational piece features scenes from your favourite series, Road to Avonlea and Anne of Green Gables, and explains what going to school would have been like for the children and teachers of that era.

L.M. Montgomery – famous author of the Anne novels and books that inspired Road to Avonlea – was a teacher herself before her writing career took off.  Her experiences as a student and teacher of that time period were carried over into her novels.  This video shows just how accurately her information and the essence of school-life was translated to the screen.
