The talk show duo have been raving about the island and obviously their fans have picked up on this. According to Live! with Regis and Kelly producer Michael Gelman, the shows they have taped in P.E.I. have received more of a response than when they filmed at other locations, such as Las Vegas and Niagara Falls.
“It’s just been great for us. I love it so much and I plan on coming back again and again,” said Ripa, who said she feels like she’s in the middle of a painting.
Philbin said he worries that people don’t know about the island. “I never heard of it before we came up here and got involved. It really is gorgeous.”
There are three more shows to be broadcast this week and each taping is drawing huge crowds. CTV estimated there was about 4,500 people at Confederation Landing Park, which is the show’s outdoor filming location on the waterfront.
Stay tuned for Tuesday’s airing which will feature a new interpretation of L.M. Montgomery’s classic novel, called “Kelly Anne of Green Gables”.
