Rutger Hauer in The Mill and the Cross
Mozart’s Magic Flute Diaries fans may want to head to the theatres to catch the latest Rutger Hauer (Professor Nagel) film, The Mill and the Cross. The movie premiered at the Sundance Festival earlier this year, and is now being released at select theatres across North America.
In The Mill and the Cross, Hauer plays Pieter Bruegel, the artist behind the famous 16th century painting The Way to Calvary. As the film unfolds, the viewer is taken into the painting, and introduced to its subjects. The film’s stunning cinematography and effects drew positive attention at Sundance.
Hauer stars alongside Michael York and Charlotte Rampling.
